This is a second hand Trevor James Signature Custom RAW alto saxophone in fully working order. You can take this horn out of the box it arrives in and take it to your gig tonight. I can't say enough good things about these horns. I'm genuinely impressed by the tone quality they produce and the quality of the workmanship that has gone into them.
This is an unlacquered alto and as such it has a full and resonant tone that really sings. (or screams if you prefer!) These horns begin life in Tawain, which helps to keep the price down, and are hand finished and set up in Lenham, UK, under the supervision of Dave Farley.
The keywork is quick and comfortable on this horn and the sound it produces is big. This horn would suit anyone playing jazz, pop music, function gigs, sax/DJ, or anything where you want a big and bold sound.
As a second hand instrument it shows a few signs of use in terms of light scratches and scuffs but these are very minor and strictly cosmetic. This horn is very tidy and has never had any dents or other issues. The pads have a lot of life left in them and are sealing well. This horn should be able to be played heavily without needing a service in the immediate future.
This horn comes with a lightweight moulded case and a Yamaha 5c mouthpiece, both of which are in full working order.
