Gibson Firebird III Non-Reverse 1965
Gibson Firebird III Non-Reverse 1965
A vintage 1965 Gibson Firebird III
As played by Noel Gallagher, Brian Jones and in the studio by Paul McCartney
Features a non-reverse Mahogany body and Mahogany neck. The fretboard is likely Brazilian Rosewood, a rare protected wood used on guitars up until 1966 until it was classified as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List.
Also features the lesser-spotted three pickup configuration. The pickups are three embossed Gibson P90s.
The neck is a slim 'D' profile which sits comfortably in the hand and the guitar has been set up with a low easy action which makes the guitar a real breeze to play.
The bridge is a Maestro Vibrola tremolo bridge.
The guitar has seen some action in it's time and as such has noticeable cosmetic wear and tear, but nothing that compromises it's sound, playability or functionality. It shows no signs of having ever been repaired for a neck break. Is in full working order,
Weighs 3lbs or just over 1.3kg
