This Freshwater Octave Mandolin was hand made in scotland by David Freshwater in 2000. It is generally in good contdition, but has taken a knock on the upper side of the body and has two fine cracks as shown in the photos. The cracks do not move, so there does not appear to be any structural compromise and there are no buzzes or rattles, so the damage is just aesthetic.

 This instrument plays well and has a rich warm sound and great projection.
